The Palestinian-Jordanian Business Forum has expressed concern about the negative impact of Palestinians in the occupied territories using Israel's Ramon Airport for international travel, warning it could harm the tourism and transport sectors in Jordan.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Forum said the Israeli occupation has failed to operate Ramon Airport successfully in previous years and is now seeking to promote it among Palestinians as a means for international travel.

The statement emphasized that the real cause of the crossing crisis and the suffering of Palestinians in mobility and travel is the Israeli occupation.

It noted that Israel is currently experiencing a political crisis, warning that Palestinians may become a lifeline to rescue the occupation government by supporting Ramon Airport, which would negatively affect Jordan’s economy.

The Forum called on Palestinians to avoid using Israel’s Ramon Airport, to boycott the occupation, and to rely on alternative available travel routes.

The Forum also expressed its appreciation for the measures taken by the Jordanian government to ease the passage of Palestinians through border crossings, such as extending working hours and improving comfort during travel. It also called for additional facilities and comfort for Palestinian travelers.

The Palestinian-Jordanian Business Forum affirmed its rejection of Palestinians abandoning their Jordanian and Arab depth in favor of Israeli occupation projects, stressing that refusing to travel through Ramon Airport increases pressure on the occupation.

The Forum urged the facilitation of Palestinian movement, and the development and modernization of crossings with Jordan through joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
